At Cozy Nest Academy, we believe children learn best where they feel most comfortable—at home, through play, curiosity, and real-life experiences.
Our approach focuses on age-based skill development, not rigid grade levels or workbook-heavy routines. Instead of pushing children through traditional methods, we guide them through skills at a pace that feels natural, building confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

Workbooks and structured materials are used when they add value, but they are never the foundation. The goal is not just to complete tasks—it's to help children understand, connect, and apply what they learn in meaningful ways.
By focusing on developmental stages and real-world connection, we create an environment where children can grow naturally—strengthening both foundational skills and creative thinking.
Daily Formal Learning Time
Focused, intentional "school-style" time — not including play, reading, or daily life learning
10–30 minutes per day
- • Broken into short moments (5–10 min max)
- • Focus: language, play, movement, interaction
30–60 minutes per day
- • Can be split into 2–3 short sessions
- • Focus: early literacy, math exposure, creativity
60–90 minutes per day
- • 2–3 structured blocks
- • Focus: reading, writing, math foundations
90–120 minutes per day
- • 3–4 structured blocks
- • Focus: reading fluency, writing, math operations
This does not include:
- ✓ Reading together
- ✓ Outdoor play
- ✓ Life skills
- ✓ Creative time
