Nature Hunt favors observing over collecting. When an activity invites collecting, gather only fallen, nonliving materials — and never pick unknown plants, touch mushrooms or berries, handle wildlife, or disturb nests or habitats. An adult should always supervise near water, roads, and unfamiliar areas.
